a very bright object,i found this target in the southern skies for the first time.

There is a fair amount of background nebulosity, i need more dynamic range and longer exposures to capture it.

Really nice work! Personally, I prefer the name "Butterfly Nebula".

Nice image, but it does look more like a moth or butterfly than a bug. The "mothra" nebula.

I would guess it's the pixel scale plus sharpening , scope is a 12'' f4 with a 1200mm focal length, pixel scale is 0.64'' a bit over sampled but can give a bit of an edge on those smaller/further away objects with calmer skies around. this target would pay off with a f10 scope, as it is really bright and shouldn't take too much time to get some signal with a slower scope.
