NGC 5248 (UGC 8616, PGC 48130, Caldwell 45 and others) is a spiral galaxy located approximately 44 million (https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3 ... 2/2/50/pdf) light-years away in Boötes.

MCG+02-35-014 (PGC 48114 and others) is the Seyfert 2 ring galaxy at the top center.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 10x300s – 50 minutes each – binned 2x2

390 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 30 minutes

Imaged February 25th and 26th and March 19th, 23rd and 27th, 2020 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

Hello Dan. Another excellent image from you. It looks great both on TSS and the flickr site. Lots of sparkly stars in the field, and nice spiral arm details in the galaxy. Thanks for the great view Dan, and please keep looking up.
