NGC 3628 - Hamburger Galaxy - First Light AGOptical

#1

Post by cmassa »

I've got my new AG Optical 12.5" Convergent set up and decently collimated. I was able to get in a night of imaging before the clouds rolled back in and we got more rain and snow in northern California.

This is a quick acquisition and process of the Hamburger galaxy. It's RGB only, the Lum images had some artifacts and need to be reprocessed. There are 7 x 10 min subs of R, G, B. 3.5 hours total. I didn't spend a lot of time on the processing.

Scope: AG Optical 12.5" Convergent
Mount: Paramount MX+
Camera: Atik 383L+ with Astrodon filters
Acquisition: SGP
Processing: PixInsight

Thanks for looking,
Chris
