The clouds parted long enough to capture some galaxies to the east where LP is minimal. I removed the LP filter and did some quick capture and edits before the Moon rose and clouds rolled in.

Most were less than 30 minutes integration with 2 minutes subs.

Thanks Michael, it was a fun night chasing them down. I images several others to get an idea what I can see but they're nothing more than smudges with single 2 minute frames.

One of these nights I will stay on an object for more than 30 minutes. M101 was closer to 50.

I just realized, there was not a single satellite in any of my captures, over 100 subs total between all my shots. I thought that was unusual.

I've had nights like that, too, Steve. One image of M42 I captured in late 2018 had four satellites tracking through it! And then other nights I didn't capture a single satellite.

Same with visual meteors. Some nights I see 5 or 6 (not during showers) and other nights not a single meteor! Go figure. Of course most of the time during my AP sessions I'm not scanning the sky either.

BTW, unless the wind is a blowin', tomorrow evening looks like my first real opportunity to get maybe three hours of clear skies without the Moon in a long time. Same skies may be over your area on Monday.

Yeah, they're forecasting for tomorrow night to be clear and no evil Orb until 2am.

Suck it up while I can. I've become a pro at setup and tear downs lately.

Been taking care of my wife (she had surgery yesterday). She is doing well.

Very nice images! I am looking forward to getting out soon. I plan to image the M 96 galaxies (I think that I can get six in the fov) and then the Leo Triplet.

Thanks Jim... glad to hear your wife is recovering well.

Sometimes I miss the wider FOV of the DSLR but don't miss processing the much larger files and the workflow.

I got a few subs of the Black Eye Galaxy and then discovered my focus was off as temp dropped quickly.

Looking forward to your images too, I bet you're anxious to capture those galaxies. It makes me want to mount the Celestron 6" SCT but that has no guide scope or a place to mount one, yet.
