Camera: Canon D60 unmodded
Lens: Rokinon 135mm f2
Imaged @ f4, 45 seconds x 10 @ 1600 ISO
120 seconds x 5 @ 800 ISO
10 darks, 10 bias, 10 flats

Stacked, stretched and BG reduction in Astro Pixel Processor, tweaked in LR.

WRT focusing, I am getting a little better at this in 10x live view.


I set up on the small access road to the main yard, itself blown over with hard snowdrifts, and despite my mass, could easy walk atop those drifts.

2 litres of earl grey, a very frosted up beard, two frozen feet and three hours later I arrived home back in the city, feeling much happier. Astro is a balm for the soul.

Hi Jim - Thanks!!! No, no first light on the SV yet. Its been super cold (-25* to -35*C) so I don't want to subject it to that kind of brutality until I can shake it down under more normal conditions.

The SV is my precious after all.

It will happen when the weather improves.

This also contains the Christmas tree nebula, and Hubble's variable nebula, albeit tiny in scale.
