This is an image of M81 aka Bode's galaxy and a nearby spiral that does not seem to have a name...

~I'v seen galaxies from both sides now~ :D

Details below the image.

30 frames (out of 45), 300 second duration, ZWO 'duo band' narrow band filter (this was shot during a blazing full moon!), 130mm APO triplet, ASI ZWO 071-mc pro.

Hrm I may have to re-visit the processing again. I kinda fuzzed it up.

Nice capture Tom! But I got confused.

One to the left is M81 - Bode's Galaxy, one to the right is M82 - Cigar Galaxy. Both of them sometimes called Bode's Galaxies.

Which one is the friend? :D

I have to say that is the first time I've ever heard of anyone calling M82 "Bode's Galaxy." I have seen it called "Bode's Nebula" however. :think:
