M42 in various wavelengths

#1

Post by JimMinCT »

Hey all,
I've been working on collecting frames for a Tadpoles/Flaming Star mosaic, and in the meantime collecting frames on this as fill while the other target crosses the zenith...
This is about an hr and a half of OIII, about 2 Hrs of Ha and about 3 hrs of older RGB data I had
I collected 15, 30 120 and 300 sec Ha and OIII images, as well as 30, 120, and 300 sec RGB.

The Ha Data

OIII

The RGB

Final HOOLRGB version

Not a fan of the residual noise, but for a "fill target". I'm happy.
Thanks for lookin'!

Wow Jim - That's a lot of work. However, you brought out incredible details.

Thanks for sharing.

There is some incredible detail there, Jim. It makes me think I should take my paltry attempt and delete it all! Very nice process!
