vdB 29 - Reflection nebula in Taurus

#1

Post by bernhardhubl »

Hello astrophotographers,

In December and early January I was able to use a few halfway clear night hours to capture a rarely photographed reflection nebula in Taurus. The Newtonian image of vdB 29 shows some nice structures and the wide field image gives an impression in which dusty environment this reflection nebula is located.

Pretty image Bernhard - Man, there are a boat-load of stars in this region along with all the dust. Nice job of processing to bring out the beautiful blue reflections.

Very nice. I like those dark dusty "holes" in the widefield view too.
