IC410 LRGBSHO

#1

Post by Astrovetteman »

I've been playing around with Starnet++....enhancing Nebula's, making star masks, and combining the two. I used some data I took this year...HA, OIII, SII, and L and used some RGB data I had from last year and tried it out using the Starnet++ module and Pixinsight. One thing I've found with Starnet is that it does leave a lot of artifacts in images with a lot of stars. I don't know how good this looks but I thought I'd post it, anyway!!

Looks really nice Tom. I have been using starnet++ as well. Yes, it does leave artifacts, but its a lot better than anything else I have tried. I usually edit the artifacts out. It's fairly easy to do on the starless version without really compromising the data integrity (IMHO).

Nice on Tom. The Tadpoles stand out clearly!

I'm with Jim, it's better than anything else I've found too.

The nebula is crisp and colorful, but, the stars look rather "bland". Did you combine them at reduced brightness?
