Flaming star nebula HA

#1

Post by Micke187 »

So tonight with a glowing moon i got some clear wheather to see if some of the adjustment i made for the tilt i got have improved. So the object for tonight was the flaming star nebula.
And yes i got some improvements but it isnt perfect yet. But now i think its the spacing thats a little bit off too aswell. Still needs some more tweeking.
And this is the result i got from tonight.

that's a nice ha image!, i can see a little bit of coma and tilt, but it's looks very manageable with deconvolution.

Thanks! Okey i will look into the deconvolution to see if i could get the stars abit better.

I made some improvments with a starmask to shrink the stars abit and also did some konstrast adjustments to the image and i got a little bit better.

Great image of the flaming star. I have observed it in my 10" scope many times - one of my favorite objects in Auriga outside of M36, M37, and M38.

Thanks!
Yeah i imagine it would be a beautiful veiw to look at in a scope. The only thing i have looked at in a scope is the andromeda and orion and some starclusters. Other then that i have only been imaging objects.
But hopefully in the near future i will get me a dobson so i can look through when the cam is rolling :)
