NGC 2207 and IC 2163 in Canis Major. This is a pair of colliding galaxies about 80 million light years away. This is data taken from Star Shadows Remote Observatory in 2017 in Chile at the PROMT/CTIO telescope. Processed in PixInsight by me. 16" RC with 16803 chip.

That has to be one of the coolest galactic collisions in the universe. I saw a similar image of these two galaxies a few months ago captured by some observatory that I can't remember the name of at the moment.

Beautiful all around Stu! So is that data available for anyone to download and process?

Hi Fatboy,
Thanks! No, not that dataset unfortunately as it's a closed group. However, if you saw my SHO picture of Melotte 15, I'd be happy to send that to you as it's my own.

Hey Stu, that's a very cool offer! I'll take you up on it, as I'd like to see if I've learned anything in PI recently... Although, I haven't imaged or processed in over a month now :(

Do you want just the masters or do you want to preprocess everything (obviously the second option will involve gigabytes of data)

Let's do the whole thing! It'll give me an excuse to try the WBPP again :) Curious though, what is your preprocessing routine in PI?

Hi Fatboy, it will take awhile to upload but I'll upload the dataset when I can
My preprocessing routine now is blink, WBPP.
Juan says that you shouldn't use the integrated image that WBPP puts out as the image you work on and he's probably right. But I use it anyway.

Nice process work Stuart. Image came out super. It is a very appealing pair of galaxies and your processing looks really good.
