Hey all,
Here's what I have so far on this. 9 panels each of Ha and OIII. ~ 18-20 hrs total integration time.
Each panel is about 1.5 hrs of 10 min exposures.
The full color high res image is just shy of a gig... My machine gets a workout when I start processing images.... :)
I haven't installed it yet, but I did download Starnet for PI. I'll be giving it a try to see what a difference it makes in bringing out the fainter details.

Eyepieces: way too many (is that possible?), but I do like my TV 32mm plossl, 13mm Nagler T6, 27mm Panoptic and 3-6mm Nagler zoom, plus Fujiyama 18mm and 25mm orthos and Tak 7.5mm LE

You have to ask whether one is mad before to attempt it, or does it drive one mad from the attempt? Is it a little of both? :think:
I've done 12 and 18 panel mosaics... And been married over 35 years to the same woman, and raised 2 daughters... Not much in this world scares me anymore. :lol:

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
I really have a love/hate relationship with these mosaics.
I want the resolution but I also want the widest field I can get while maintaining my sanity.
A fine balance to be sure. :D
PixInsight does a great job of hiding my mistakes. :)

It should be noted that all framing is done by my calibrated set of mark I eyeballs. No SGP or NINA involved.
If I get to the point where I can't figure it out, I might as well give it up. Kinda like the die hards that will not use Go-To, I suppose...
