This image field is the
IC 1470 region. This is a star forming region within a large molecular cloud. In addition to
IC 1470, there are five other separate emission regions within this cloud (BFS 14, 15, 16, 17, 18). The BFS catalog is by Blitz, Fich, and Stark in a paper titled "HII Regions Not In The Sharpless Catalog" - 65 objects.
The field has several open clusters of which
NGC 7510 is the most well known. The large emission area on the left of the full size un-cropped image is Sh2-157 (the Lobster Claw). This region is just west of the Bubble Nebula. This larger image field is mostly stars with these smaller objects spread around the busy star field.
