Little Cocoon Nebula, Sh2-82, in HaLRGB. I am not totally happy with the colour, which was shot last night under the full harvest moon. But I am pleased with the results. This is a very dim target.
Well done Kathy. I am about ready to post a similar image so I know how challenging this puppy is. I had really good sky conditions - but its still tough.

I reprocessed the image, dropping three Lum frames that were taken under the full Moon. The colour frames are still from the full Moon night, but now all the Lum frames are under a dark sky. The Ha frames are moonlit, but are pretty much immune to the effects of the evil orb. I am still not happy with the star colours, but I like this version much better.
