NGC 7822

Greetings!

While I was waiting for The Fish Head Nebula to rise, I was filling some time with this target. An hour or two here and there. Over the last couple of nights, even though the evil orb is in full strength I pushed the time on this up to just shy of 20 hours. Thanks for looking!!

Beautiful! Since you have such high quality data, I would back off on the noise reduction a bit. It looks to smooth for my taste (being really picky now), with some of the noise left I think the detail would come out and make it look more natural.

Hi Martin, thanks for the input and I agree it’s a tad soft. Believe it or not my weekend has been attempting to get a better contrast and detailed version, none of which I have been happy enough to call good ... 🤪

All the best,
Thanks!

I've managed to waste my weekend reprocessing it trying to get a little more detail and contrast ... Not sure if this better, but it is different. Handled that big old star a little better and more blue out of the central area.
