New Image: M82 HaLRGB with more Ha added

#1

Post by ic_1101 »

This is M82 in HaLRGB with more Ha added. I was hoping on getting over 10h of Ha but ended up with 8h 36' along with 8h 14' of RGB (OSC) for a total integration time of 16h 50'. Overall I'm quite happy with the result, maybe next year I'll revisit it and add more data.
Thx for looking and appreciate your C&C.
Cheers
Alex

That added Ha certainly shows the disruption in the galactic core! Well worth the effort to gather the photons.

Hi Alex. Wow, this is a fantastic M82 ( NGC 3034 and Cigar Galaxy) image with the added Ha data. Excellent colors and details and the central fracture really pops out nicely. Thanks for sharing this capture with us Alex as it is one of the best that I have ever seen and I also agree that it is very much APOD worthy.

You have brought out more internal structure and detail than I've seen before. The Ha also produced the nicest red nebulosity I've ever seen. Just awesome Alex. Thanks so much for sharing!!
