Re-processed Image: Tulip Nebula Widefield
This was my second (and so far last!) HSO image taken with my QHY 163M camera. At under 4 hrs it was never going to be great.
However, I have recently been reprocessing much of my data to see what ne processes. such as the XT suite and local normalisation can do. I have in the last two weeks been given some fantastic turoring by a gent on another forum in how to use GHS.
So I gave it a go on this data, also using BXT and Blanshans NB Normalisation.. And this is what I got
It needs to be considerd in the light of my previous best effort with this same data which was
Now the new one is still not earth shattering but personally I think its a quantum leap over the previous version. Infact, i'd say its hard to believe its from the identical data set.
C&c is as always greatly appreciated.

Hi David. A very nice re-processed Tulip Nebula (Sh2-101) image in HSO light. Wow, while using the original capture data, you have now enhanced the contrast, colors, and details in this new version. Thanks for sharing this splendid redo with us on here David and keep up your great astro imaging.

Re: Re-processed Image: Tulip Nebula Widefield
I think your new process is pretty darn earth shattering!
One of the most beautiful images that I have seen in quite awhile. The Tulip is very nice, but the nebulous field is spectacular!
I remember seeing the original process when you posted it and was really taken with the beauty of the field.
GHS has definitely raised it to another level! The “X” tools and Bill’s palette definitely kick in their share too!
Fabulous work David!
