IC1805 & IC 1396 The Heart & Elephant Trunk Nebulae

#1

Post by AstroBee »

Finally, a night where work and weather cooperated. Of course, that darn moon made it not worth my while to drive to my dark sky site. So I set up in the backyard (Bortle 8) and decided to do one of my favorite things, B&W astrophotography.
One nice thing about these later months is the long darkness. I managed to capture 4hrs and 10 minutes on 2 targets!

StellarVue SV70T w/0.8x reducer/flattener
ZWO 2600MM Pro camera
Chroma 3nm Ha 36mm filter
ZWO OAG w/ZWO290mm guide camera
iOptron CEM70EC mount
25x 600sec subs = 4hrs 10mins total integration

Captured using NINA and processed in PixInsight.
