A four panel mosaic of part of the Large Molecular Cloud in Taurus

I love Dark Nebulae and The Large Molecular Cloud in Taurus has to be one of my favourites. This is a four panel mosaic featuring IC2087, IC2088 and NGC1539. Imaged remotely from Spain with the Epsilon 180ed and full format ZWO ASI2400MC Pro. Exposures were 45 x 300s for each panel. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop, this was a real challenge for noise control but to be fair it is  dark stuff in a dark sky so I'll take it for what it is.

I'm a sucker for dark nebulae too and this is a fantastic example. I particularly like that you can tell that the big area at left just above centre is hiding some bright stars and you can see the glow around it. Wonderful.

Now, the TSS APOD hardly ever goes to an image featuring a dark nebula. But if it were up to me, this one takes the cake.

Not exactly beautiful, if you know what I mean. Even a bit overwhelming. But the detail is beyond description.

I'm the same I have a real soft spot for dark nebulae......I am grabbing some data at the moment for a region just North of this frame.

Thank you, I'm running The Epsilon 180ed on a Paramount MX. With Protrack, Pec and a good model it runs completely unguided.
