NGC 6888 Crescent Nebula
First light (for me) using an ES 208mm f/ 3.9 Newtonian, my first Newt. Acquired over a recent clear night using a QHY 268c OSC & L-extreme filter, a must in Bortle 8 skies. Stacked & processed with Affinity Photo. I think I’m going to like this scope. Full res image on Astronbin. Thanks for looking!

Re: NGC 6888 Crescent Nebula
Very nice start. You are going to need some calibration frames to eliminate those dark horizontal bits. If you aren't shooting calibration frames, you can probably just clone them out in your editing app.

Re: NGC 6888 Crescent Nebula
An interesting image. The colors are different from what I'm used to for this target.

Wow, sounds like a really nice scope. Congrats on your first light. It always takes a while to get used to a new one... But you seem to be far down that road already.

Re: NGC 6888 Crescent Nebula
Thanks for the comments & suggestions. Just like proofreading before you send out an email I corrected the horizontal black lines by using an in painting clone tool in Affinity Photo and reposted the image . Since I used the L-extreme filter the predominant color is red. The only adjustments in color I made were to boost saturation & removing the green color cast.
