Moon about 6.8 days average age
Sensor temp = -10C

Scope: Stellarvue SV80S Triplet APO Refractor
Imaging Camera: Atik 383L Mono

Two cool images. I’m surprised you don’t have more blue in the SHO?

Thanks Brad, that was intentional. I was trying to create something different than what I processed before which is here: https://www.astrobin.com/full/268347/D/

Make that "two" and not "to" different approaches. I hate getting old

Great images John!

Like Mark, I too favor the HOS process, but have no idea what the difference is. Even if you explained it to me, I probably still wouldn’t understand!

I still like what I see!

Thanks,
Jim

Thank's Jim, the letters represent the filters used and replace the standard RGB designation of images. R= Ha, G= OIII and B= SII or HOS. The SHO palette is R= SII , G= Ha and B= OIII. That is the starting point, but as you know the processing is what produces the desired resulting false color image.

They are both interesting renditions. The SHO palette version speaks to me more. Great job prepping them both.

Thanks Bob, I thought I would try the HOS version as you don't see it that much.

Here's a more typical SHO version
