IC 1805/Heart Nebula

#1

Post by jnelson »

Have had a few clear, albeit cold nites, so I’ve been focusing (pun intended) on IC 1805, the Heart Nebula. Had gathered 150 minutes of images with the ES80ed & QHY268c but decided to try processing a 26 x 180s live stack directly off of SharpCap as the final stacked image looked pretty good. Was concerned that the move the Bortle 8 skies would add to an already steep learning curve but the L-extreme filter makes NB imaging still feasible. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Looking good. For some reason, I could not see the enlarged version when clicking on the image in your post.
