Horsehead from 11/27

#1

Post by SkyHiker »

I was just wondering if I should not try the HH tonight and I vaguely remembered I might have tried it already. Looking through my pictures I found one from 11/27, not sure why I had not posted it. Maybe because Alnitak is so bright and maybe I was planning to fix it. I will post it if I do. The FOV is a bit narrow with my 12". But it shows some nice detail and didn't take too much trouble.

ASI2600MM LRGB 10x5 minutes each on G11/OnStep stacked with DSS and processed in Gimp.

Alnitak definitely a bit overwhelming there but very nice detail in the two nebulae -- Flame and HH.
