Thanks, it's a shame that M42 is so blown out. I tried a masked stretch but it came out really funky looking so just lived with it.

About the only way to get a balance between the two would be a multi scale integration.

Wow that brings back a memory.

When I was a young boy growing up in Miami there was a billboard right as you got off the highway. It was animated with the little dog pulling her shorts down.

It lasted a few years actually until probably one of the first instances was 'demanded' it be taken down!

have you tried the hdr stacking in deep sky stacker of simular option in your software?

You need at least two sets of data to do this. One 'high' and another 'low'. I dont have the low!
