Sh2-132 Lion Nebula HOO

#1

Post by ic_1101 »

I processed an SHO version of this target back a few months ago but was not real happy with the results. The Sii was very noisy and I would have liked to grab some more data but other projects got in the way. So I processed the Ha & Oiii for a HOO rendition of this target.
It was captured with the qhy163m on the Z61. Total time was 9hrs 40min with 24x - 600sec of Ha and 34x - 600sec of Oiii, processed with APP and PI.
Thx for looking and C&C always welcomed.

I think you captured some really nice detail.

I have never done this target before. It does kind of look like lion, on the prowl for Lucy.

You guys were really easy on me in your kind comments, after looking at it with fresh eyes today I realize I really overcooked it trying to get something decent. This must have been my 10th go at it. Sometimes I don't know when to stop playing with crumby data and just calling it quits. This one is going in the recycling bin and I'll try imaging it again next year.
