Hi Dave. Your telescope gives a very nice closeup view of this target. Any idea what is causing the large blue halos around all the stars?

Yes Steve thats the L Extreme filter causing that , it’s a known issue with this filter, I may try the filter closer too the sensor as I have in a filter wheel so I can swap over to uv filter for wideband targets so saving on messing about , so unless another duoband filter Comes to market I’ll have to put up with it for now , I was imaging the horsehead nebula last night will see how that goes , it may be worth me trying wideband and adding the Ha signal to it I use startools it has a feature that allows you to add narrowband into your wideband data .

Regards Dave

Thanks for the tip about the star mask. I keep forgetting about that possibility...

Lots of detail through the image. But the halos are a bit distracting. Just a bit, really. Otherwise, very nice.

Yes I would not recommend this filter actually don’t buy a duo band until they can get over this hurdle
