this is a woderful deep and very detailed capture of this nebula, with the stars formation in the Norma outer spiral Arm!
For the visual observers,
the nebula is found west of the NGC 2301 open cluster (which looks like a row of fairly bright stars), and off the 3 stars Einstein's Asterism with the double SO 157. The Einstein's asterism is seen in the astrophoto at far left.
First time seen through the 82mm Leica APO Televid in Silva Plana (Swiss Alps), on March 15th, 2017,
then confirmed through the 15x85 binoculars with the blue(RGB)CCD filters in Lillinghof Airfield (Bortle 3), on January 23rd, 2020.
This capture shows a fantastic piece of the astrophysics, and resolved into the details,
JG
Thanks for the comment JG!
Well, I had heard of Einstein's cross, but not Einstein'sasterism . Sure enough, I see references to that name on the internet. Thanks for the introduction!
I have it from https://www.universetoday.com/27035/wee ... 3-15-2009/, where the Three Stars Einstein's
