Cygnas Wall in SHO

#1

Post by SPIE7 »

Had some decent nights imaging the past few days, even though NGC7000 sets behind trees rather early now.
Worked on the Cygnas Wall section in the north American nebula.
First night I did all Ha and after getting rid of bad images ended up with 114 x 120 second exposures.
Second night I split it between S2 and O3, Got 37 x 120 S2 and 59 x 120 O3.
Used pixelmath to create the image in the SHO format.
Rasa 11 guided by Orion 60mm scope with ZWO 174mm cam
ZWO 1600 MM pro cooled to -10 gain 139
Starnet would not work so the stars are pinkish in color, usually do not have problems with starnet but maybe installing the new update tp Pixinsight might fix it.
Cem 70 G was guiding better now that the guide scope finally started working....Gotta love astro and it's weird problems sometimes.

Beautiful image! Congrats.
you might want to try the new StarExterminator plugin for PI. It works really well, better in fact than StarNet. Not free though but you can try it for 30 or 45 days fully functional.

Hi Sandy. Yet another great DSO image. This time the Cygnus Wall in SHO light. Excellent contrast, star shapes, colors and wispy details in your capture. You got it all in your data and processing. Thanks for sharing this latest work with us on here Sandy and congratulations on receiving a well deserved TSS APOD Award today.
