Wizard Nebula - SHO

#1

Post by STEVE333 »

Been doing a lot of handyman work around the Mobile Home Park and haven't had the energy to capture any new data for a while. So, thought I would reprocess last year's Wizard SHO data using things I've learned over this past year. I like the result. Hope you do too.

Very nice repro Steve!

I didn't realize that the Wizard was so large!

Have you tried imaging this target with your Canon OSC? I wonder how well an OSC image of this target would work with a L-eNhance filter?

I don't have a delivery date for my new mount (HEQ5) yet, but this might be a good test target.

Looking forward to more of your work!
Jim

Thanks Jim.
I did image it with my DSLR, but, the results weren't very impressive. Many of the details don't show up as well with a OSC. Using the L-eNhance filter should allow you to do HOO processing which will bring out more details.

JohnP_1 has recently posted a OSC image of the Wizard which will give you an idea of what the OSC looks like.

The excitement of new equipment. Hope you have good results with your new mount.

Nice rework, Steve. You have learned some interesting things in the past year.

I also did a DSLR OSC version of the Wizard a while back (two or three years again). It was not much to write home about.
