Hello everyone!

I was fortunate enough to have a few clear, smokeless nights with a late rising moon so I set my sights on one of my favorite targets... The Iris Nebula.

I've shot this before, but now I'm taking full advantage of APT so I can target this before moon rise and pick another target after and keep going!
This is the result of two nights (would have been three if not for the computer mishap which I posted in the beginners forum) so about 5.5 hours with my Altair 26C paired to my Orion 8" astrograph at F4.0.

Pre-processed in APP and Post in StarTools 1.8.515 (beta) (The new HDR module ROCKS!)

Hello Larry. A superb Iris Nebula (NGC 7023) image here. Very nice blue reflection nebulosity, dark dust details, and the central star SAO 19158 really stands out. Thanks for sharing this view with us Larry and congratulations on receiving the TSS APOD Award today.
