IC 5146/Cocoon Nebula in LRGB
The Cocoon Nebula is a combined emission, reflection, and dark absorption nebula in the constellation Cygnus. I assume it was given its name due to the fact that it’s a stellar nursery rather than its appearance. Thanks to good guiding and clear Bortle 4 skies I was able to capture 60 x 180s in LRGB with UV/IR cut filter using the C8 & ASI533MC. Was going to add Ha images but liked the way it turned out as is. May save Ha for another nite.
Thanks for looking!

Very nice image, but it's always looked like a cocoon to me. We must metamorphosize in different circles.
