Eastern Veil in Cygnus - mosaic

#1

Post by bobharmony »

To get a little more practice with Microsoft ICE (and because I have never produced an image of the Eastern Veil that pleases me), I took the data from two nights of the entire SNR complex and processed them to get a nice Eastern Veil. This is two frames of 35 120 second subs taken with the Nikon D5300. Data was captured 9-4 and 9-6-21. Calibrated with darks, flats, and dark flats, then each panel was processed in StarTools before being stitched together in ICE:

Thanks, Jim. The only thing I did for color was the "Cap Green" slider in the StarTools Color module. The D5300 just picks up what is there!
