Iris Nebula

Here's my version of the Iris Nebula, taken in early June. What a beautiful subject and I'm definitely going to revisit it and hopefully capture more details in the dust.

Nice. The Iris is one of my favorite DSOs and you were definitely able to capture a lot of the surrounding dust. This is definitely one of those objects that likes being imaged from a dark site.

Thanks @starfield . Yep, definitely needs dark sky for the Iris Nebula. I shot this at Bortle 4. Polar alignment was a bit off so I limited the exposure to 1 minute. I'd love to see what a 5-minute exposure in Bortle 1/2 sky will do to this target.
