Another night of practice. Finally decided to try counterweighting in RA, lo and behold the RMS was cut in less than half. I was guiding at 0.6 to 0.7" total RMS, it sometimes dipped below 0.5". After that I imaged M39 that was nearby. This is about 20 subs with recycled flats and biases from the Lagoon last week, oh well it was time to finish up.

Just adding some weight to work against the RA motor, in this case by adding weight, to keep RA from bouncing around as it does with perfect balance.

You have a bit of a green cast which can be common. I'm not sure if you're using other processing tools not in your sig but Hasta La Vista Green (things that use PhotoShop actions) or the PixInsight SCNR tool will fix this. Here's just a one-click medium HLVG in PS -

Thanks Dan, and you are right. I just stacked in DSS, which lets me align the RGB curves easily but it won't let me change their shape. So if the stars have a nice balance, the background might not, in this case it is green - I saw this and was unable to fix it with DSS. I did not want to spend the time using Gimp to fix it, but it would let me fix the color curves if I work hard enough. I am planning on getting PI once I can image accurately enough, consistently.
