M57 Experiment Take Two

#1

Post by sdbodin »

OK, probably tortured this stack of short exposure M57s enough, already. But, couldn't resist running it by Registax to squeeze it a little more. Again, about ten total minutes exposure, mostly 10sec and a three ea. 30sec and 60sec. Done on the BigDog with the ASI1600MC-cool 12 bit OSC.
m57_16f6zworeg.jpg
Specifics; Meade 16 LX200 at f6 2400mm efl, ASI1600MC-cool, 200 gain, 50 offset, -18C, UV/IR filter, no darks, etc...etc. Posted image 50% crop, at 66% full size this time.

Clear skies, clear here, but blowing 25,
Steve
Scopes; Meade 16 LX200, AT80LE, plus bunch just sitting around gathering dust
Cameras; Atik 460ex mono, Zwo ASI1600MC-cool, QHY5L-II color and mono

Great detail!
Your image is inspiring me to re-process mine. After seeing yours, I feel mine is a bit over-exposed...
