I have finally been able to get some time with my new permanent pier mount. After completing it I have been busy with other life things.
This is my first real time accumulating some data with this setup. This is the Witch's Broom of the Veil Nebula located in the constellation Cygnus.
This Image was captured using the following;
ASI294MC Pro...data collection
ASI290mm mini on a ZWO 60mm...PHD2 guiding
TS Optics 102mm @ 564fl...telescope
2" Optolong L-extreme...filter
ZWO EAF...focuser
HEQ5 Pro...mount
Data consists of 7.25 hours of 5 minute exposures, 20 darks, 20 flats.
Stacked using DSS (Deep Sky Stacker), processed using StarTools.
It has been several months since I have done any kind of processing and have forgotten many of the things I previously new in processing...and it shows.
Anyway, here is The Witch's Broom Nebula.
Thanks for looking,
Kerry

Great shot Kerry. It looks like you used 52 Cyg as your plate-solved center. Next time, I'd recommend positioning it more to the top of the frame to bring out that brighter nebulosity below the broom.
I really like the processing btw.

Hi Kerry. This is a beautiful Witch's Broom Nebula image. The 7 and a half hours hours of data really provides some great bi-color nebulosity and details in your processed capture. Thanks for sharing this wonderful work with us on here Kerry, and congratulations on winning the TSS APOD Award today.

Yes I did use that as the center. Originally I did do some test frames as you mentioned, and they came out nice also, but I only wanted the broom for this photo so not to detract from the broom itself.
I will do the other at another time. I plan on doing the eastern part of the veil nebula next.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Thank you. This is the most time I have put into an image. I am learning but good things are sometimes worth the wait. I will be putting more time in data collection in my images from now on.
