Cygnus Mosaic now 5 panels

#1

Post by carastro »

I hadn't intended to increase the size of this Mosaic, but since my latest image Tulip Widefield, overlapped it I thought I would see what it looked like, but I think it is extremely unlikely I will fill in any further gaps.

Sadr region was around 7 hours.
Crescent region was 5 hours 20mins, and the rest was made up of the two smaller corners I had to fill in making 15hours 17 1/2 minutes for the 1st four panels.
Now adding the Tulip region a further 9 1/2 hours.
Total time for all 5 panels = 24 hours and 47 1/2 mins.

What a delightful image Carole. Your images almost look like beautiful paintings by van Gogh with your color pallet! Lovely soft touch on the processing. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, some extremely nice comments there. Well I have decided I will do another couple of panels. Not sure when, as the weather here in the southern UK has gone from a heatwave last week to rain and storms and can't see any clear skies for at least a week or so, if then and then it will be full Moon.

By the time it and the Moon clears, Cygnus will be high and I have to take my dome off the walls to reach the Zenith (I have a SkyPOD) which is always a PITA.

Buy hey ho, that is imaging for you, nothing is easy in this game.
