Veil Nebula

#1

Post by SPIE7 »

NGC 6962 and NGC 6960.
Captured most of the veil nebula in Narrowband Filters.
7 x 300 second exposures each of Ha, S2 and Oii.
With Radian Raptor, CEM 40 and ZWO 1600 mm pro cooled to -10, Gain 140. ZWO EFW and ZWO EAF.
Processed in DSS, PI and Light room.
I used a different palette than the typical SHO palette., I did not like the red and blues with purples mixed in, So i started playing around with different palettes until i got this one.
My guiding was not the best when i used the new ASIAIR Pro beta version, I got from a very good .4 to bad 3.8 with multi star guiding, so the stars are slightly elongated.
I will keep trying to get better as we have finally had some clear nights this past week and a few days from now are not looking too bad.
Hope you like it, and clear skies everyone.
