up close NGC 6164-5

pointed the 12'' f10 sct at it and gave it a go,the object is a little faint mainly in oiii and sii,very slow at f10 :(

in hoo, ditched the sii

i'm still working on my 9 panel from last year, over 70 hrs for it,i don't think it will work out too well,when i get free time i'll see what colour image i can produce,here is the overall object in ha from last year, https://astrob.in/lg3smf/0/

NGC 6164-5 sits in the bottom right region of the "dragons of ara" aka ngc6188 the rim nebula

i had to do some research online for object labels, i always Thought ngc6164-5 was called the rim nebula , it seems most people are taging it as the rim nebula ..
scopes :gso/bintel f4 12"truss tube, bresser messier ar127s /skywatcher 10'' dob,meade 12'' f10 lx200 sct
cameras : asi 1600mm-c/asi1600mm-c,asi120mc,prostar lp guidecam, nikkon d60, sony a7,asi 290 mm
mounts : eq6 pro/eq8/mesu 200 v2
filters : 2'' astronomik lp/badder lrgb h-a,sII,oIII,h-b,Baader Solar Continuum, chroma 3nm ha,sii,oiii,nii,rgb,lowglow,uv/ir,Thousand Oaks Solar Filter,1.25'' #47 violet,pro planet 742 ir,pro planet 807 ir,pro planet 642 bp ir.
extras : skywatcher f4 aplanatic cc, Baader MPCC MKIII Coma Corrector,Orion Field Flattener,zwo 1.25''adc.starlight maxi 2" 9x filter wheel,tele vue 2x barlow .

Nice image. I like the 9 panel on Astrobin too. I appreciate these images from Southern Hemisphere astronomers that I gould never get up here in the north. Thanks.
