Post by MariusD69 »

Hello!
A capture from last night, NGC4244 (Caldwell 26) is an edge-on spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici (at a distance of 14Mly). It doesn't have a dust lane like NGC891 or NGC4565 (the Needle Galaxy) and the details are harder to highlight.
Total exposure- about three hours- 12x2 minutes each RGB channels and about 2 hours luminance.
Setup: newt SW 150/750, ASI1600MMPro.
Clear skies!

An edge on really shows how thin some spirals are!

Nice one Marius.
