Last two nights I took advantage of unusual good transparency of the sky in low altitude areas ( usually May is rainy), to capture low targets (M104 and M20). The seeing was decent too, the FWHM was between 3.33-5.8, the frames were selected under 5.
So, I had total exposure of four hours, two hours luminance (60x2min) and 20x2min each RGB channel.
Because is so small, this target is more suited for bigger scopes (long FL and large aperture). My little "chinese" couldn't extract more detail into the dust lane.

You did extract some really nice detail even in the big crop. Very nice!

Well I think thats an outstanding image. The structure visible on the top of the disc is super. I'd really wanted to target this during this spring but its very low for me and now I'm out of astro-dark for a couple of months. maybe next year!

Nicely done Marius. I like the processing of this image. Looks like you got a really nice dynamic range compression. I think it shows nice dust lane detail (given the limitations of image scale).
