Bear Fight M81

Last night's Great Bear Hunt, M81. Didn't fight the bear, but the conditions. First, twilight, getting that time of year for only 3 hours of real darkness, so some blue sky still present, then a train of internet satellites, looked like a 4 degree long line of diamonds, then the wind came up, gusting to 25mph and seeing dropped in the sub-zeros. So, only got 48 minutes of 2 minute subs. However, the whole thing fit into the fov at 2400mm efl.

Specifics, Meade 16 LX200 w/Starizona reducer at f5.9, Grossly oversampled at 0.34"/pixel thru ASI1600MC-cool, gain 200, offset 50, temp -20C with UV/IR filter. Captured and stacked in Nebulosity, final in PS CS5, posted image edge cropped and 25% full size, and probably over sharpened to make up for the poor conditions.

Very nice Steve and congrats on the APOD for the 6th. What I truly like is how well you captured M81's very diaphanous spiral structure. It is a challenging visual feature, and your image displays its fragile nature quite well.
