M97 & M108

#1

Post by Larry 1969 »

After a bit of a struggle, I've finally managed to produce an image from my efforts several nights ago...
I took 150 60" frames before the moon rose and tossed 15 due to tracking errors. The rest looked pretty good but I had trouble with my calibration frames...

I got that sorted and pre-processed this in APP and processed in StarTools. I'm pretty happy although I think this image would benefit from more time on target...

M97 (The Owl Nebula) and M108 (The Surfboard Galaxy).

Thanks for looking!

Larry

Thank you all!
I was pretty happy with it for only 2:15 integration time. Maybe I'll get to spend more time on it, but there are so many other cool targets out there!!!

Love the framing and a fine job with processing the data. I may have to give them a try, haven't added a new Messier in a long time!
