I started out with great intentions! And that went out the window about a hour and a half into the evening. I saved a new StellarMate update to a SD card, thought I had all the widgets configured correctly...... ummmmm, nope! Once I resolved the issues, off I go to continue the original plan. Then it froze! Not a big deal, but there are other considerations to take into account. With this spring being absolutely terrible for
AP, last night was one of the few nights with even average skys.
Out I go and pull the offending Operating System and put in the old reliable OS. I am using StellarMate, as a Capture/Control for my gear in the observatory and run it remotely. So the plan was to use a
CGEM, 8"
SW Quattro with a ASI183MM Pro, and a FairField 60mm guide scope with a ZWO ASI120MM MIni. I decided to give LRGB a try, but with the 183MM I have to be careful on exposure time due to the Amp Glow if I get greedy on exposure.
Below is the result of 25 Lum at 120 seconds each, and 15 each of
RGB at 120 seconds each. I used
DSS to stack, and PixinSight to process. I have owned my Lum filter for the first time after owning it for years. So here is my first attempt at LRGB.
