More Galaxies, Its Twins

#1

Post by sdbodin »

Near M99 twin galaxies NGC 4298/4302. Must be paternal, one short and fat, other tall and thin. But not the most famous twins in the Virgo cluster, that would be the Siamese, oops should rename them to conjoined, but I'll bag them later. An hour of 'naked' OSC point and shoot, no calibration files whatsoever.
n4298_16f6zworaw.jpg
Data; Meade 16 LX200 at f6.2, 2500mm efl, ASI1600MC-cool, 200 gain, 50 offset, -20C, UV/IR filter, 30/2 min subs. Guide scope, 4 inch SCT at 3 sec rate thru QHY5L-II mono. Image center cropped and 33% full size.

Clear skies, I might have three in a row!!
Steve
Scopes; Meade 16 LX200, AT80LE, plus bunch just sitting around gathering dust
Cameras; Atik 460ex mono, Zwo ASI1600MC-cool, QHY5L-II color and mono
