M109

A quick stack and process from last night of one of my favorite M's. Large theta shaped barred spiral near the 'dipper' and a couple background gals too. Sky conditions very good last night, no wind, seeing good, transparency good, temp falling into the 30's when I finished. So cold that the neighboring orchards started up their giant windmills, sounds like a flock of B29's taking off, I guess, only ever seen one of those beasts.

Data; Meade 16 LX200 at f6.2 w/Starizona reducer/corrector, efl 2500mm, Zwo ASI1600MC-cool, 30/2 min subs, 200 gain, 50 offset, -20C temp, UV/IR filter. Guided with Meade 4 inch SCT at 1000mm efl, QHY5L-II mono at 4 sec rate. Image captured and stacked in Nebulosity, final in PS CS5, another 'naked' shot with OSC, no darks, flats, etc. Posted image edge cropped, and 33% full size.

For the kind comments and running down those faint galaxy IDs, I usually try to find the designation if they seem bright enough to be NGCs, but these were faint smudges in the sky.

I'll probably reprocess this later to bring out some better detail, but just a quick hit for now.
