Markarian's Chain WFOV

#1

Post by STEVE333 »

Just three hours worth of RGB data on this beautiful portion of the sky. I certainly miss the less noisy data that NB provides on nebula! Captured with an ASI1600MM with RGB filters. 200 sec exposures at Gain=0. Captured with APT, guided with PHD2 and processed with PixInsight.

That's a great image Steve! I struggle to bring out any color other than gold and you've managed to get some blue in those galaxies!
Great work!

Excellent image Steve! Reminds me of some of the visuals I've experienced of Markarian's, only wider than what I can see at one time. :) Simply beautiful.

Great work!

Larry

Thanks Larry. I need more time on this target but am too lazy to get it. I pushed the color saturation (probably too hard) but it did bring out a bit more color. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks. That looks like a challenging target, good luck! I'll watch for your results.

Hey Steve! That's a REALLY nice capture of Markarian's Chain. I like the wide field and you still got a lot of detail and color in those little "faint fuzzies"!!
