M106

#1

Post by Larry 1969 »

I had a surprise fairly clear evening last night and decided to try M106. I'd never tried this target before...
I had some clouds roll through but I was able to salvage 225 x 1 min exposures and run them through APP.
The result was actually decent so I went on to StarTools and gave it a run...
I couldn't decide which crop version looked best so I'm posting both!.

As usual, comments and criticism welcome.

Thanks for looking!

Larry

Looking good Larry! Both crop versions are nice, I have a preference for the wider view containing more additional galaxies.

Thank you!
I have not looked into those as of yet. My sky is bortle 5 and my camera is very efficient at >90% QE so I'm looking into shorter exposures. Maybe 30 sec or so...
