So this will probably be the last of my long FL images from easter Week-end (I captured the needle too but I'm struggling to get a decent process on it - not enough integration)

Taken with the "Big Blue Trash Can" aka the 8" LX200 GPS on its wedge and the EOS 700D.

Heavily cropped for coma and still showing some distortion if you look close (so dont :D ) it came in at 2.5 hours total (50 X 180s ISO800).

But I'm really quite pleased with it considering the gear used.

That's a real beauty! One of the nicest Whirlpool Galaxies I've seen in a long time. Wonderful color and great details. Really well done! Wouldn't be surprised if you get the APOD for this one.

Thanks for that Jim, I'm in Bortle 4 but some street lights pretty close which can be troublesome. But that night was unusually good seeing - its usually fairly poor.
