A 1250 hour exposure of the Milky Way
"Finnish astrophotographer J-P Metsavainio has released a Milky Way photo that took him nearly 12 years to create. The 1.7-gigapixel image has a cumulative exposure time of 1,250 hours."

I have enjoyed this post as much as any other I have read here. I would love to see these image on an 8 X10 ft wall, or whatever size wall that would do.
I have often wondered if one could expose long enough and with precision so that the image would be so filled with stars that there would be no dark spaces between them.
He has almost done this.
Imagine the density ...
Well my imagination runs away with me.
